    Drawing Scale Length Converter

Enter the scale as drawing : actual and convert a paper measurement to a real length. For example, 3 cm on a 1:100 drawing represents 3 m. Switch direction to find the paper length for a known real length.

    MAKE IT SIMPLE

Enter both sides, for example 1:50 or 1:100. Use the same unit on both sides.

    1 cm on the drawing = 1 m in reality (100× reduction).

Use a paper drawing printed at the stated scale. Screen zoom or “fit to page” printing can change the scale. If a dimension is written on the drawing, use that dimension.

    Worked examples

    3 cm on a 1:100 drawing

    3 m actual length

    3 cm × (100 ÷ 1) ÷ 100 = 3 m. On a 1:50 drawing, the same 3 cm represents 1.5 m.

    6 m actual length at 1:200

    3 cm on paper

    Select actual → drawing: 6 m × 100 × (1 ÷ 200) = 3 cm.
